On January 9, 2019, Southern California Edison started work to repair an electrical line located on the corner of Via De Oro and De Portola Rd. The work will take approximately 3-5 business days. Trenching may be required and part of Via De Oro may not be accessible. At the very least, Southern California Edison will leave one lane open for homeowners to enter and exit Via De Oro. At this time, due to staffing issues, the mailbox replacement will occur within the next 3-6 months. On Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM, The County of Riverside will be holding a Public Hearing at which all interested persons will be heard regarding a Class V Winery Project. The project address is 37440 De Portola Rd. The hearing will be held on the 1st Floor Board Chambers, County Administrative Center - 4080 Lemon Street Riverside, CA. Please see the attached Public Hearing Notice for additional information.
Recently, it has come to Management’s attention that the cluster boxes located off Via De Oro have been vandalized as of Thursday night, October 18. A report was made to the USPS Fraud Department on Friday, October 19. Sixteen homeowner boxes have been affected, including those who do not reside in the GlenOak Hills HOA. The post office will hold the affected homeowners' mail at:
30777 Rancho California Rd. Temecula, CA 92591 Management, along with the Chairperson of Neighborhood Watch have walked the premises and documented the incident appropriately. Please be aware, GlenOak Hills HOA is not responsible for replacement of the cluster boxes, but the association will do everything in its power to expedite the process to have the mailboxes restored. Management is currently in contact with the Post Master for the area and will have an estimated time of repairs within 2-3 business days. Each year, the City of Temecula Mayor presents a formal State of the City Address hosted by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce. This year, Mayor Matt Rahn presented the Temecula State of the City on May 31, 2018 at 8 a.m. at Pechanga Resort & Casino. Throughout the year, the City also provides a condensed version of the State of the City to conveniently reach out to residents and businesses who are interested in hearing a City update yet may not have been able to attend the formal State of the City. For 2018, the Mayor is hosting three of these “Mini” State of the City presentations at Fire Stations located within the north, south and middle areas of Temecula to make it as convenient as possible for citizens to attend one closest to their neighborhood.
