Membership input requested for options to removing most of the grass from the playground area and next to the clubhouse. The grass could be replaced with drought-tolerant plantings/mulch/boulders/drip irrigation as was done next to the tennis courts....... OR ....... recreational items could be considered, if enough interest was generated. These could include a sand volleyball court, golf chipping green, par course, etc. Email Avalon Mgt. or any of the Directors with your thoughts on how this area should be revamped. Input received from the membership will be reviewed by the Board of Directors at the September 25th Board meeting. The project will include a rebate from Metropolitan Water District of $2.00 per square foot of turf removed. As a result, the cost will be nominal considering the scope of the project.
